Post his Masters in Clinical biochemistry from Grant Medical College, Mumbai a full-fledged Ph.D. scholarship in Molecular Biology from Johns Hopkins Institute was waiting in the U.S, but Anand Iyer’s destiny had other plans. Little did he know a summer job in advertising to make a few extra bucks before he left for the U.S would change the course of his life. He joined avant-garde and cutting edge ad filmmaker Shamin Desai as an assistant director and fell in love with the medium of Filmmaking.  He has over 300 ad films tucked under his belt under various genre be it humour, beauty, style for major brands and MNC’s. Even though he has been in this profession for over two decades every new project Anand undertakes, he approaches it with the same enthusiasm and love as he did his first film. Filmmaking is an art form but one cannot ignore the fact that it’s an extremely technical one and Anand truly understands both these aspects of the craft.
